Locket

A little silver heart
I hold so close to me.
It's empty harbor waits for
A matching silvery key.
A small capsule of love,
Who's center stands lonely,
Waiting for his arrival-
He'll  be my one and only.
A trinket of affection
To hold the one that I love
I do not know his name but
He's the one I'm thinking of.
Locked inside my heart always
He will set my soul ablaze

May you find your matching key soon.  Beautiful sentiment here.

There's something very special about a locket,it stays close to you, right beside your heart, you may share with others, or keep your secret closed, you can open it to take a peek any time you want, you can hand it down to the next generation. I love lockets. I loved your poem

Moonlight, knowing you before either of us came to the forums I must say that you will one day find the key you seek.

Thank you everyone for replying. Its been a while since I've written anything because I have had so little time with my classes.  But, all that work did pay off and now I'm free for a while to read and write a little bit and express a little bit of myself in words again instead of art & Design.

Thanks for the hope everyone!  And thanks you very much Dream.
