Some Advice Life of dreams denied Shattered though retried From carelessness Found hopelessness Painful path to trod When faithfulness Brings emptiness Turn your back on God For faith is where When love is gone Does the journey end This life to dare In power song Write it out to mend To pen a rhyme Teach dark decline Eek it out in ink To heal takes time This time sublime Speak before you think Old thoughts to purge When past does surge Only face the fore On peace converge ‘Gainst deadly scourge What was there before When this does occur Can you then endure "Of all tyrannies a tyranny sincerely excercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive." -C.S. Lewis |

What an exquisite poem! My favorite line is "think before you speak" I can´t remember how many problems I could have avoided if I just gave my words some thought. I loved it. |

"When faithfulness brings loneliness ... can you then endure?" Those three lines sum it all up for me -- why cling to what is right when it only ends the same way as wrong, which is so much easier? Excellent thoughts here. Keep exploring this -- "eke it out in ink," as you say. Things will get better, I promise! --Kess You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end. |

Your pen "eeked out" a load tonight. Gracious work, my friend. Hope you're feeling better soon...or maybe not - I love your dark poetry, ya know? Michael |

When faithfulness brings loneliness... can you then endure? If we but knew the answer to this one Christoher life would be simpler. Or maybe that should have read this way, maybe life would be simpler. I love it. B Gravitt |

Chris I hope you haven't turned your back on God. You will endure this, one day it will get better! Lot of thought you've put here, and I'm glad you did! Loved it! <*\\\>< Jesus is the reason for the season |

"When this does occur Can you then endure" Your words give me hope. I can endure. Thank you for the inspiration. |
