Release my heart from this burden love These shackled chains forever pain. For I this hapless, dreaming fool, Still wander lost in search of you. No shelter from dark night above, Fording whispers through spiteful rain. Scream blackened tones of raven rage, "O' surcease please, this hurt assuage!" Hope, a stranger, is much like you, I find no peace within that chill. Comfort's breeze lies only within, With future's tale left unwritten. Once more the past, must bid adieu, To love now rent, do wish goodwill. From chaos webs, old life does wilt, And in the ashes, new one's built. < !signature--> The road to recovery shall never end For around each turn, at every bend A brand new challenge which life will send With which a troubled heart must now contend. Profound words indeed my friend and I particularly like the formatting. Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. You know, I think your signature says it all Chris... I believe you're just at another bend in the road you have to walk as a young man, and there is so much ahead for you. Don't get discouraged...it's a long journey, but certainly worth the walk....Just think of yourself as an Indiana Jones! It's more of an adventure, with a few bumps along the way..... Chin up friend - I know great things are just around the corner for you!! With big hugs & smiles! The first and last stanzas really jump out at me, this is of course not saying that the whole poem isn't just amazing! May I never be too busy to help another's load, Then I'll be drinking from the saucer 'cause my cup has overflowed. --Author Unknown |

Excellent words my friend "From chaos webs, old life does wilt, And in the ashes, new one's built." Oh how true, we can do nothing but stand, brush off the soot and go on. Wishing you only the best my dear friend. |

We have all been here, have we not? There is a great deal of strength required to let go of something you love -- and I say love, because if you truly loved it never truly dies -- in order to move on with your life. There are brighter days ahead for you, my friend. Greet them with hope and welcome. --Kess You cannot choose the way of your death, but the path you choose will determine its own end. |

A very thoughtful presentation, Christopher. Keep moving forward ... one small step ahead gets you where you need to be. It is good to have you here, among friends. ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ noles1@totcon.com |
