You may think that your knife
will impale my back
glide right in and you will win
And you may think that I
will become your new
blade, to slice into your
next victim, to shed the
tears upon which you
seem to feed
But what you didn't know
is that my back is burning
and your blade is made
of snow the color of blood
It will melt all over your
hands, dripping at
your feet
leaving stained tracks
back to your lips
and the lies that fall
from the spaces between
your sharpened teeth
You should flee
when I turn to meet
your eyes, for today,
vengeance belongs
to me

Thanks, Rainbow ~ Bad day at work. I just despise office gossip...especially when they try to drag my name into it.

Gets on my very last nerve, it does!

There is no doubt
in my mind

Caroline
you are too kind
humility your words
hold out to me
and I return
the shyest smile
I know you cannot see
so I shall say
a simple word
a thankyou from
my heart

Me- thinks Caroline that you plan to print the poem out, and stick it on someones back.

Hell hath no fury like a woman who plans to get her own back.

Hark! is that the sharpening of a tongue I hear.

lolol yep Caroline I know just how you feel, the "ladies" here love to gossip, about anything and me...and since I do nothing but sit at my cp and have fun, they gossip about that. I finally turned my cp desk so that I couldn't be seen at all from the door way, and got the biggest kicks out of who protested the most lolol.....great poem btw

Wow, such a powerful, emotion-packed piece.  Very well done.

the heart finds its morning
and is refreshed.
