when i see you today,
will i be more than your friend,
or will i endure,
the same old games agian?

if i was to hold you,
so tight and so long,
and tell you i love you,
would it be wrong?

becuase we are only "friends."

when i see you today,
will your promise be kept?
will they know who i am to you,
and have to accept?

if i was to kiss you,
so soft and so sweet,
would it be alright,
for you to tell me you love me?

or do "friends" never get that close?

when i see you today,
will my worries be gone,
my questions answered,
our love somehow strong?

if i was to have you,
till death do us part,
through sickness and health,
with all of my heart,

then will i never have to prtend to be
your "friend?"

i often chose to follow my heart, only to lose my way.

thank you all for your replies, and yes balladeer it is much deeper than it appears, surley a man like you could understand that! i rememeber you were one of the first to welcome me here and make me feel at home when i first came here. oh by the way i fixed that problem i e-mailed you about, actually it fixed itself. thanks agian for reading.
