We inhale the sweet fragrance of lilac.
Crickets and peepers play their serenade.
On moss, 'neath a willow we settle back.
Together we ponder the world God made.
The sky is painted by coming sunset.
The falling sun sets your hair all aglow.
We feel like new lovers only just met.
Each others secrets we already know.
The night sings of seduction and romance.
Too slowly the darkness conquers the day.
Stars dot the sky in their celestial dance.
Bright fireflies swarm like angels at play.
Love speaks of starry skies and moonlit walks.
It thrives on the truth and heart-to-heart talks.

DreamEvil -
Very nicely done, my friend.
Enjoyed reading it ... thrice.

I especially liked the imagery in these lines....

The sky is painted by coming sunset.
The falling sun sets your hair all aglow

I can see you watching your lover, with  solt glow of the setting sun in your eyes and heart.....lovely work!

Now these are the poems I enjoy most from you, Scott.  It buried deep, I know...but when it works it way to the surface...POW! Great work.  This is beautiful, really.
