Another Parkinsons poem about some of the things that happen in public,sudden freezing of the muscles, slurred speech, etc. For my part, I've had some difficult times, but if you saw me, you would never know the desease was there Thanks to my little friend Requip!I'm still my beautiful little old self I'm Smarter Than You Thunk! Don't tell me I can't bring a friend He's quite attached to me For I am really part of him And he is part of me Don't tell me that I walk too slow It's the nature of my friend Will you still be in a hurry When your path is near its end? Don't think because my speech is slurred That I must be a drunk For I can see right through your smirk I'm smarter than you thunk! Don't condemn my sudden standstill In the middle of the mall For you're the one tailgating me And that's against the law! Don't ever think I can't keep up Don't answer with a quip For I will then be forced to show you My one upmanship! For I'm keener on my love of life I'm faster to the flower I walk with much more pride of self And inner strength and power My heart can clearly say the words Of poetry's most loving song My spirit dances in the fields My friend just dances right along I'm faster and I'm stronger And I'm smarter than you thunk So please remember this or else This class of life you'll flunk!
