Click… "Now here's the latest at six…"

Your look is sleek
Behind golden locks
Reaping the world's plight

The words you speak
From your two foot box
Frighten me every night

Please don't tell me
I don't want to know
I'm happy in my bliss

Don't make me see
I don't need your show
I'd rather that I miss

Fire and brimstone
Death and destruction
It's all out there waiting

Sold in sweet tone
With a dash of fun
For a better rating

The news at six
With the most recent
Grisly details to sell

The river Styx
Flowing through my set
Proof that there is a hell

It is good to see you again Mr. Scott. You definately come back with a bang! Great job describing the horror of the six o'clock news. I don't want to know either...*sigh*

Andrew, this is wonderful. I agree with you totally. Every bit of news is read with such 'happy drama', especially now in the November sweeps! Is it better to turn off the set and not be aware..perhaps not...but I take my news in small doses...CNN.com.. then the paper..then a bit of TV in the evening.

Lady Marilyn: It's good to be seen. Thanks... its been busy around the work place and I've had little time for the more pleasurable things such as PIP. Glad you liked.

Ms. DeVine One: I second that small doses bit. And I have a love / hate relationship with the sweeps. Thanks for checking in.

Yo Toe! Thanks buddy... I've missed you too... (in a small sort of nattish way ) Things are good, but busy. Gatta spend time trying to make the all mighty buck don't cha know. Well, back to it.

You may for a Thyme still wear the crown
With your latest greatest lines
But we really miss you in the 'stute
Or have you lost your spine ?

LOL

Andrew, this is wonderful, and oh so truthful.

S'why I have no such thing as "cable" at my house. All my "TV watching" is done on small pages with black lettering peering back at me.
Well done Andrew, a fine message!

I too find that I'm happier when I don't watch the news. There's enough going on right here at home, without borrowing trouble. If something's big enough to matter, someone will tell me about it anyway. You know, important stuff, like when Lucy died.

Thank you all so very much. It's nice to be missed, but nicer to be back. Things are starting to slow down so I should have more opportunity to respond in kind. Again, thanks to you all, you made this kid feel good.
