Have you ever stood amidst disaster’s aftermath Devastation so complete, you had to clear a path. Things so shattered and confused you wonder where you’re at- And ask yourself despairingly, “Did I cause all of that”? Each decision that we make, has repercussions, true- It thus behooves real caution, in choosing what we do. One wrong word, or one false move, can devastate a life... And cost your job, and all you have, and even kids and wife. You say, “But it’s already passed, my life in ruin lies- It’s too late now for caution ”. But you do not realize... That every single thing of worth, a firm foundation has... It’s built upon some lesson gleaned from failure in the past.. So if at first you don’t succeed, then try, and try again- Time you spend in trying, experience will win Dry your tears and brush your hands; get up and try again.. For it you try it oft enough, someday you surely win. |

Another great and truthful poem! Every down fall teaches us a lesson that makes us a wiser person. |

Excellent poem, though I do not concur with your final statement. ------------------ Now and forever, my heart hears ~one voice~. You're absolutely right, GS - We will win eventually - provided we learn from the mistakes, eh??? Nice job, my friend... |

Nice one, Slinger. I've always felt that foundations should be made of shatter-proof glass, strong enough to hold us up ... and clearly capable of being seen through so we can know what we've laid on the foundation. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

So true...live and learn. If we don't fail sometimes, we never know the happiness of success. ------------------ <*\\\>< Jesus is the reason for the season |
