When exigent madness can decry
the flame's beauty to the hordes
gathered under a murderous sky
then comes the Darkest of Lords.

When nations crumble and turn to dust
then Gabriel's horn will sound
to call those who said, "In God we trust"
from their sleep under the ground.

From the earth will rise God's own undead
filled with His eternal Light
they will inspire the wicked with dread
and bless them with endless night.

From the ashes of man's creation
filled with echoes of the past
comes a new book of revelation
that brings salvation at last.

Abominations Nature can't unmake
will roam across the scarred land
in nightmares from which man can't awake
and terrors man can't withstand.

The future will be born of madness
from cultures sunk in decay
that paid homage to God with sadness
and filled the past with dismay.

Oh wow Dream, this is a very powerful piece, and so true! I knew when I saw the title, it would be deeply spiritual, and fabulous! I wasn't disappointed at all - - thank you for sharing your thoughts on this.....
