I gave you my heart
I gave you my soul
In my life, you've played an important part
You've played such a special role
You wrung my heart out
You took all I could give
Everything, you made me doubt
But I will continue to live
I'm taking my heart back from you
I'm pulling my heart away from your allure
I'm making it through
Because I really don't need you anymore!

I'm glad you're headed in the right direction again! I bet it feels good to write something like this that makes a statement! Great read!!
