Thoughts in the night Our life is a maiden head Each day we weave a subtle thread. Extracted of the flow, discarded in the ebb, Stored to what we know seeded in a bed. Our breath makes dance the canopy, While we watch and wait and see We view each action and its goal What food to feed our hungry soul. The web evolves thread by thread. It is our bed and water shed. And all the treasures that are sown, Are blown away like dust is blown. The process is of Gods own hand To fuse again with sky and land. To meet the need of cede to seed, With only wonder of the deed. Each moment wove of slouch and right Shrouds the soul into the night. So do not fear the ravens glance Or the shadows of the dark advance. It is a process with a goal, To mature the flower of the soul. |

Seymour - I would say that the flower of your soul is very mature. Quite a thought maker. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |

Sy, Your poetry has taught me much And I am an apprentice of sorts In fact others feel the same According to what they report But this verse is extraordinary Not just for the poetry But for the wisdom of the soul And how it is expressed exquisitly This is one of my favorites! Elizabeth |

Sy, tender are the words you weave, for you would have us all believe, that we should not fear Raven's glance, but the process IS God's circumstance. Well done, dear Sir. |

A lesson here for all to heed When struggling with the darkest night He'll care for us and meet each need He fashions good out of our plight A lovely garden He has planned And we the seed sown from His hand. Excellent poem, Seymour! Very comforting! Thank you! ![]() ------------------ Denise |

The difference between mature and 'old', is knowing when to pen again, the golden words you weave so well ... to capture us all in your spell. Weaving us within the web of your soul's tide that has yet to ebb. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
