Undiscovered
by ©Richard Budig 1999

Flowers in the jungle
grow no more variously
than the souls here gathered
who’ve come to say good-bye.
As deep in the jungle
grows a rare and pretty bud,
so here, gathered round
this casket, quietly grows
a blossom undiscovered.

your poetry is a joy to read

I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."
