(I'm going to appologize in advance here as the title states, these are just my ramblings....posted more for my own benifit and surely not for their literary quality.) 3 AM Ramblings of a Madwoman I’ve memorized your letter Each word and every line When someone asks me how I am I smile and say, “Just fine” You wrote yourself into my life Of that there is no doubt And now I’ve grown to love you so You write your own self out I opened up my life to you Buried all my fears Can’t you see my heart is breaking? Can’t you feel my tears? Do you hear me crying out In the depths of sleep? Oceans won’t be big enough For all these tears I weep What happens to a fragile heart Now shattered into bits? How do you piece a puzzled life Where nothing ever fits? Is there someone out there Who’ll love me just for me? Or do I just keep wishing on Every star I see? Shall I chalk one up to “love” And just give up the fight? I’m left with many questions No answers in clear sight It’s ever so confusing Where do I go from here? I read your letter one more time And brush away a tear ------------------ Alis volat propriis (She flies with her own wings) [This message has been edited by hoot_owl_rn (edited 11-11-1999).] |

Worst to date???? Hoot you're a hoot... I loved it. Maybe I just don't know anything about poetry then, cause I thought this was really good. ------------------ Once I was brilliant, now I no longer shine, but the twinkle in my eye speaks of another time. |

Ruth, This was written very well, no need for apologies. You are very talented in your writing. The ship hasn't docked yet, it's lost at sea. |

Although I do not know what truths,if any, lie behind this piece Hoot, it is a heartbreaker....as with all your work, it is beautifully written ------------------ A soul that writes from the heart and shares it, truly gives a gift extraordinaire! |

Hootessa - blues??? You??? How can this be - somebody who uplifts so many people... hang in there, sweet lady. For all you know, the ship might be a submarine, and it is already in port, just not docked yet. |

I can relate to this too much Even though I don't know exactly what you have to deal with, your feelings showed through this so perfectly, as with all of your poems I've read. I hope things get better soon. ~Jess~ |

Lady Hoot: Finer ramblings from a madwoman one can not imagine. I've been more than busy these past weeks and haven't had the time to even really produce postable ramblings, much more read the several hundred poems that have come about in my absence. Hope your offering here is not a view on recent events, only those of the far past. Chin up Lady, chin up. |

Ruth the heart sure can be a painful organ can't it?? Yet I would not want to live without one.. I just always remember the cowardly lion in Oz...he knew he had a heart when he felt it breaking. You, too, have one my Dear....be so happy about that. Robert ------------------ if you can dream; you can fly...if you are flying; you are dreaming. |

......This is so sad, I wish I could offer some comfort, but not knowing what happened, I can't...and all of my thoughts on the subject in general are downtrodden.....so in this case, silence is golden...this was wonderfully written though **hugs** ------------------ Thinking is just what a great many people think they are doing when they are merely rearranging their predjudices. |
