While cleaning out the attic Of an old abandoned home. An old dusty trunk was found Sitting in the corner all alone. Wiping off the cobwebs. Lifting up the lid. There under lace and clothes Were a stack of letters hid. The words that had been written Told of love that had been lost. And the need to get back together No matter what the cost. They spoke of stolen moments Shared together that were wrong. For to one another They did not belong. The ending of this romance, seemed to be abrupt. Only this yellowing stack of letters remain Hidden in this dusty trunk. Lost lovers without a name. |
