As solemn silence reverberates,
...over pall of dying day,
Evening darkens into night,
...death's calm on land does lay,
From afar repose is broken,
...by sound of nature's hymns,
Vespers of a settling wind,
...sound forth through muted limbs,
With fading ray of sinking sun,
...shadows stalk the winds of fate,
Silent death with razored claws,
..springs forth through Eden's gate,
As solemn silence reverberates,
...over pall of dying fawn,
The forest and its creatures,
...wait advent of the dawn.
