~Warrior~ My ~Warrior~ ~Marge Tindal~ 1999 Oh, brave ~Warrior~, where have you run? Your burnished hair braided, skin bronzed by the sun. Did you run into the hills? When will you return? I look for you on the rising smoke sent by the fire that burns. You will come back. I know this is true. You must bring back my heart that I sent with you. Safe in your keeping, it beats for you alone. You must return this ~Maiden's~ heart so that it can beat on. Return to this ~Maiden~, my ~Warrior~. I keep the hearth fire low, the embers glowing ... just as you keep the embers of my heart aglow. ~Warrior~, my ~Warrior~, just as the fire burns, hasten to your ~Maiden~. I await your return. ------------------ ~*The pen of the poet never runs out of ink, as long as we breathe.*~ [email protected] |
