Seymour

A poet with a golden touch
A pen that writes with golden ink
And scrolls the most exquisite line
To fill the soul and make it think
And for this I love him

A gentleman with heart of gold
And passions deep within the quill
So galantly he writes a verse
And gives us all another thrill
And for this I love him

He's graced the forum with his words
A talent rare of endless skill
And with it all such loving words
To all the poets with his quill
And for this I love him

The patriarch of poetry
Revered by all who read his verse
Empassioned by his eloquence
Most beauteous words I've ever heard
And for this I love him

A mind that's on another plane
High above the rest of us
The genius in his poetry
Leaves us mired in helplessness
And for this I love him

I have a love of poetry
Unlike any other love I've known
It beats within my racing heart
And cuts me to the very bone
And for this I love him

He's stirred the passion in my soul
He's energized my poet pen
He's brought more meaning to my life
And to my sorrow brought an end
And for this I love him

He reads each line that we all write
In admiration of our lines
And with a complment from Sy
Our hearts do somersaults in time
For this we all love him
And always will

Elizabeth

Dearest Sy, This little poem could have been written by any one of the passionate poets. It just happens to have been written by me. Please never stop inspiring us.
Elizabeth

Baladeer,
Most people would not realize how high a compliment that fair golfer is. Thank you.
Elizabeth,
Once again there is sand in my eyes.
You have placed me in a magic glen.
When I am able to open my eyes,
I will try to put some words in them.

Sy,
No need an answer to this verse
Your poetry has spoken for you
Your graciousness is evident
In every single thing you do
And loved you are by all the poets
For you have been a friend to all
Of your talent we have been amazed
At your verses we remain in awe

So please don't answer, just know that the poem is true for all in the forum.
Elizabeth

Seymour - What a wonderful tribute my friend has penned to you. She sure has a way with words, doesn't she. Rest assured she speaks for us all. Why, if I didn't know better, I'd swear she was reading my crystal ball !
Elizabeth ... you read my karma !
Love you both for the beautiful circle of friendship that encompasses us all.
IS THIS A GREAT WORLD WE'RE IN ... OR WHAT?

Poet to poet,
pen to pen,
I love to visit,
may I drop in?

If you two can but spare
a glowing remark ...
could you share with me
a little spark?
~Marge~

Marge,
If I hadn't written this, I would have sworn you had, for I know how fond you are of Sy. Thanks so much for the lovely remarks
Your quippin' friend
