Today's Thief
by ©Richard J. Budig 1997

Last night's
Snow blanket,
Today's thief,
Stole
My thoughts,
Disallowing
Their moment
In time
As I spoke them
To the silent,
Captured morning.

I have to echo Elizabeth on this one.

I sing my tearful song which has charms only for me."

I thought today's thief was yesterday, or was it tomorrow...I digress...Nice poem.
