Feel The Velvet
~*Marge Tindal*~

There is a velvet to the twilight sky
that caresses the coming of night
Cloaked in magenta's soft beauty
awaiting the twinkle of stars-in-light~

Soft velvet stairs to the welkin gate
hold sweet dreams-in-waiting wish
Gentle the movement of moon-in-phase
across the ebon in galactic swish~

There is a velvet to the morning
that cuddles the meadow in dew
Moisturized wishes now granted
in the dawning of love-in-renew~

There is a velvet to the heartbeat
of lovers in union of morn
Poems are made in the gentle-of-night
to be shared on the dawn newly-born~

~*The sound of a kiss is not as strong as that of a cannon, but it's echo endures much longer*~

Oh Marge, this is wonderful! I wish... I wish...nah, I won't wish I had thought of that. I could never write it so colourful and beautiful as you.

Marge,

I agree - velvet should be its own color.  You write it so well - I marvel at the beauty of your poetry.
