You PiP folks are wonderful... Patiently Indulgent Poets...

As most of you know, my work schedule has become severely cumbersome of late. A mere 50-60 hours a week - No problem - We can do this...

Needless to say though, it does put a dent into my PiP-time. These "real-time" people just don't get it, do they?

Anyway - I've had a couple of wonderful offers of assistance here in the workshop. Doc has kindly offered... Munda... Liz Santos...

I intend to take them all up on their offers too.

Liz has a fantastic idea for this month. She wants to work on rhyme scheme and meter.

Liz has a particular Robert Frost poem in mind to use as a guideline, and she's going to step in to share her ideas with us... Yeah...

Now - Could someone explain to me why I'm going to work for the next two days... on my days off??

What's wrong with this picture? Let's write some poetry. LIZZY??? You're on, m'friend...

Yay the volunteers!
Do you know that just this evening when I was otherwise engaged, I was thinking of coming in and asking "can I help???"

But here we are, only moments later, and Liz has issued up the first challenge.

OMG....

But dear Lady Santos, you put down a brave gauntlet, and I will do my utmost to pick it up!  [I'll try, but that's ALL I'm promising!]

Hooray!  April Lives!

Yes, it is spring and time to concieve of new, fresh verses. I couldn't seem to live up to my own challenge, for mine had too many verses, and fRost said so much in just four. So, it's back to the keyboard and another sttempt. I won't be happy til it's right.
Waiting to see what Ms Sunshine produces.
Spring flowers, what else!

May this Easter season be a time of joy, a celebration of spring, and a time of new beginnings in Christ's name.In the spirit of rebirth, may we all continue to write or to begin anew to open our hearts through poetry.
Happy Easter to all
Liz

Dear Liz,
Your sentiments are acutely echoed by this poor, four-footed fool.
Doc

Nan,
'twill bide awhile
perhaps a smile
on countenence
will be beset,

that never in these countless years
will give me cause of true forget.
