There once was a teacher named Nan
who functioned according to plan,
'til, long came a moose
whos' poetic abuse
turned out to be more than could stand.

Each month there were projects assigned,
most, filled the appropriate lines,
'til Doc, on all fours
threw the rules out the door,
saying, "I claim this workshop as mine!"

The powers that be were appalled,
exhibiting way too much gall,
said Doc to the "Mods",
"you're all peas in a pod",
insuring his rapid downfall.

But, Doc had an ace up his sleeve,
most surely, they wouldn't make him leave
if he could produce poems that weren't so obtuse,
with holes in his head like a sieve!

He pondered this plight for a while,
and, with a slight sardonic smile,
thought," when I post this, which they cannot resist
if they "can" me I'll go out in style!"

"Limericks, for this month we must do,
what the heck, I will post just these few.
There ain't nobody here
so I've nothing to fear,
by the way you can grade last months' too!

There once was a woman who screamed
"it's boring to be so serene!"
So she went to the doc
who adjusted her clock--
prescribing her limericks green.

*burp*

muted,
Ah, the sound of one smiley clapping is music to my ears! Thanks.
Doc
serenity,
And,"green" they are indeed. I've written a few, but, mostly to just see if I could. Thanks, be well.
Doc
Endlessecho,
Thank you, I'm glad you got a chuckle.
