Let's harken back to bygone days, a point in history, instead of saying "once upon a time" (seems good to me), when our ancestors, it is said, did climb down from the trees, or fell (a much more likely case, though you may not agree.) To make this more believable, let's give our kinfolk names. These great, great, great, great relatives were different, yet, the same. To say they were "peculiar" would not be a foolish whim, and so, to introduce you I'll climb out here on a limb. The oldest ones were "Wally" and his wife "Pistacchio", then, "Almond", "Hazel", "Hickory" and "Pecan" (look out below!), then, "Filbert", "Butter", "Leechee" and "Brazil" (ain't life a beech?), and, lastly, from the underground, came "Goober" (there's a reach!) By now, you may have figured where this story line will lead, disputing Darwins' theory, proving man did come from seeds. Not,"survival of the fittest", au contraire, that's just not true! (I may have lost my wits, but, ain't it obvious to you?) The moral of this story's 'bout as plain as it can be. No matter who you think you are, consult your family tree. I did and I can safely say, with no "ifs", "ands", or "buts", one cannot make things up like this, therefore we must be nuts! |

LOL! That's hilarious! Oh my goodness. So good. Well-crafted. I love seeing where everyone takes each assignment. Very original idea here. And you presented it with such great wit and humor. I'm still laughing.. |

I've been reading this one since you posted it, and though I 'got' it first go round, I've been at a complete loss as to my response. It's just that damn good. |

Dark Angel, I'm glad you enjoyed this, I certainly enjoyed writing it. Oh, where words will lead! Doc Bridget, Thanks so much. Sometimes, it seems more like "nonsense of humor", but close enough, and you're welcome. Doc Alicat, Thanks, I haven't forgotten your last comment about "semantical antics", that, has brought many a chuckle of it's own. Doc |

This, then, would be the origin of that infamous jingle - "Sometimes you feel like a nut - Sometimes you don't!" I see how it works... |

Sunshine, Positutely! Thanks Sunshine, be well. Doc Nan, What a curious manner of speech! One might think they had slept for thousands of years! "Sometimes you feel like a nut", onward to the awakening. Doc |
