The scholar in me cautions,"Doc, be cool!" "Just mind your manners, careful, what you say!" "Let's not be telling tales out of school, about Miss Nanners on this, her birthday!" The joker in me brushes this aside. "C'mon Doc, lighten up, let's have some fun!" "These past four years have been a wild ride, and rumors, there abound, about this one!" The student in me thinks of her as "Teach". The dreamer in me thinks she's pixie dust. The pragmatist says ,"Doc, that's quite a reach!" (It's gotten so I don't know who to trust!) E.Fudd says,"Doc, you'd best be wewwy quiet!" While M. Marceau (in pantomime) says "Cheese!" The rest of me could start a freakin' riot, each year keeps getting worse, but by degrees, and unlike birthday poems(too soon?)must end, the facts support the rumor we be friends!
