Sitting in Michael's Lap

Old man squats
Shoulders hunched in sleep --
Nightbound hills.

Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die."

Very good Nochtdraco. It took me a second to figure out what you were describing but once I did ... very good.

Hey, guys. Is 3 - 5 - 3 an acceptable form of Haiku? thought it had to be 5 - 7 - 5.
Did I miss something?

Ohme...back to the class room with you. Read the fine print at the bottom about abridged versions of haiku in 3-5-3 format
Nocht, this took me a little to figure it out, then once I did..wow!

Oh, this was neat -- I can imagine standing atop a tall hill, and looking out over the others in darkness. You have done well with this one, Nocht!

Night's darkness
Is mere masquerade
For sunshine
