You were hummin' there on your iambics.. ..and a formal Thank You to my Deer friend Balladeer for all the help he gave us this month... Oh gee teacher, I don't know. What is Iambic Dimeter? I hope I can write another iambic. What is the difference in all the differnt iambic meters, if you don't mind me asking? I'm still having a lttle bit of trouble distinguishing stressed from unstressed syllables. Meters seem so hard to do. [This message has been edited by SmartChick (07-05-2002 08:45 AM).] |

Well ok if you insist. If you will tell me what a PARADELLE/SESTINA is, I might just give it a try. The IAMBIC METER was hard enough. Not even sure I can do that one again. But, I will give this one a try, if you will tell me how to do it. |

dunno if i can do that, go here and look, the Paradelle!!! http://www.netpoets.com/poems/buffet/0041030.htm and then when you finished your ahhh's and ohhhh's, go look here to the sestina http://www.geocities.com/Paris/Villa/8287/sestina.htm I think I'm out this month, I don't think paradelles and sestinas mix very well with sheep. LOL Titia Life on the internet begins at...90! [This message has been edited by Muys (07-05-2002 09:18 PM).] |

Dear Nan, Seems like (in another life) I may have attemted these two torturous, troublesome(not to mention) tremendously tricky and twisted forms. Would it be permissible to throw in some alliteration too ? Doc |
