homour? April is for fools, the jester is I and in the King's court, all my tales are wry When women in town begin to shed their sleeves While spring throws light yet clothes the trees with leaves :-) Regards Sudhir P.S. I was away for a while, so I do not know whether humour was the key element of the class a few months back... [This message has been edited by Sudhir Iyer (04-03-2002 08:46 AM).] |

Any requests? You bet! Get your booties out to Poetry Readings...they are springing up everywhere! Bridget Shenachie and I were overjoyed to watch and listen to Stephen Dunn, last year's Pulitzer Prize winner! See The Poetry Reader in Open if you want a glimpse of inspire that I received...and oh, so much more! |

how about something metaphorically similar to a simile or some similes metaphorically simplistic or metaphors which are similes or similes which are like metaphors? or....better yet travel stories..... rhyming road stories about our adventures traveling or verses for children with morals or ...... hmmmm........ i dunno maybe humor... something that incorporates puns or.... geez..... it probably won't matter anyway to me because every time i sign up to participate, i never do it any more LOL!!!! |

Hi Nan! I'm "IN" for whatever you decide. I don't know what you've done previously so it's all new to me. How about something requiring specific meter since meter is my weak point. Can't promise to excel but I promise to participate. I'm still bouncing off the walls from Dunn's Poetry Reading that Sunshine mentioned above and so I'm all agog for new possibilities. Shenachie |

To make a proper villanelle one must first find the villanella beans. The best beans grow only in certain remote areas. Being that I (however) am full of beans, I will gladly save the rest of you the trouble of finding them and will bring plenty to class.
