Ok, for some reason I can't seem to write anything this month. These have all been posted in CA a year
or so ago but triolets are so much fun to write as well as read that I wanted to share here anyway. I
hope the subject matter makes sense.

Nan, if this isn't appropriate then just feel free to delete them.

Curvature

From point to bounds beyond imagination,
Our universe expands, or so they say;
A subject due our somber contemplation,
From point to bounds beyond imagination.
But if sufficient matter's in creation
It surely all comes crashing back one day
From point to bounds beyond imagination.
Our universe expands, or so they say.

Relativity

If I travel quickly and return
With haste to where I started long ago,
What time will pass and what lies there to learn …
If I travel quickly and return?
At lightning speed, I think my mind does yearn
To comprehend the facts I cannot know,
If I travel quickly and return
With haste to where I started long ago.

Observation

While riding on a train, near speed of light,
This paradox at once became apparent:
A flash of light beside my rails of flight
(While riding on a train near speed of light)
Spread either way as quickly as it might,
As if the speed of light were law inherent.
While riding on a train, near speed of light
This paradox at once became apparent.

Right Triangle

The learned Greek, Pythagoras, declared
This basic rule of plane geometry:
The length of its hypotenuse, when squared
(The learned Greek, Pythagoras, declared)
To sum of squares of other sides compared,
That absolutely equal they would be.
The learned Greek, Pythagoras, declared
This basic rule of plane geometry.

See, just reposting these helped break my writer's
block so this is a new one. Maybe it will butter up
the teacher so that she won't delete the others.

Another Apple

Another apple for our teacher, Nan,
Who always does so much to show us how.
Today I know of nothing nicer than
Another apple for our teacher, Nan,
For making me exert all that I can
And learn to write with better skill. So now
Another apple for our teacher, Nan,
Who always does so much to show us how.

They may be old, they're new to me... please Nan... delete them! They're too darned good! (Even the new one you weren't supposed to write... hmm does that make you a paradox too? )
