That sadness of your passing e'er shall be remembered here. Let words record this tribute now and ever 'til the end. 'Twas at your side I learned to laugh, and cry, and shed a tear. That sadness at your passing e'er shall be remembered here. Regardless of the years gone by one truth remains that's clear, in honor of your memory, may I still call you "friend"? That sadness of your passing e'er shall be remembered here. Let words record this tribute now and ever 'til the end. |

Doc this is great! I'm having a real hard time repeating so many lines in such a short verse and still make sense - or nonsense, whichever you prefer. ![]() Btw, you are allowed to post your poems written for the Workshop in one of the Open Forums. It's not considered double posting. |

Well done Doc. A great tribute and it looks to me like it follows the format perfectly. Pete |

This is lovely! I do think this format of poem allows for alot of expression for a tribute... and you expressed this so well... I could feel your your loss *hugs* |

Doc--This flows so smoothly that your use of this form is truly impressive. I still feel awkward with this form and hope that the flow of words will come. Thanks for sharing. Shenachie |

Munda, Thank you my friend, both for the reply and the clarification. Due to the time it took me to reply, it seems as if you've solved your troubles with this form. Doc Pete, Thank you. I usually stumble around a bit more before getting the hang of our assignments here ( something about fools rushing in). Must have gotten lucky with this one. Doc Titia, I've been snooping around since this was posted and as I said to Munda, looks like you've been putting your time to good efforts. Thanks again. Doc Casidy, Thanks. Yes, actually I was thinking of my mother (who passed away some years ago) when I wrote this. We were quite close, but until she was gone I didn't realize that above all else, she was my friend. Doc Shenachie(Bridget), Thank you. As it looks as if we'll be bumping into each other around here, do you have a preference as to how you are addressed? I've enjoyed reading your pieces and would like to know. You can just call me... Doc amigo, Thank you. Sorry for the delay in replying.I'm glad you liked it. Doc Nan, Thank you so much.I've never had a "Perfect" before. With my already over-inflated ego it's probably only a matter of time before my head explodes. tick, tick, tick... Doc |
