A sonnet has the sound of tweedle-dum
No wait, I think I must have that all wrong
it's more like restless natives on a drum
than any nursery rhyme or stupid song

A sonnet has five parts, or is that four?
Three quatrains and a couplet, let me see...
of course there's only four (who would need more?)
ignore that I said five ( Oh, silly me! )

A sonnet solves a conflict start to end
while using metaphors and imagery.
When I grow up these rules I will not bend
and then I'll write some real poetry.

'Til then I'll just drive "Teach" here up the wall
(if I didn't it wouldn't be no fun at all ! )

lol!

Excellent piece of writing, Doc. It's nice to see a variation of funny and serious poetry.

I enjoyed the read quite a bit. Thanks for sharing it.

Oh my goodness that was just too terrific, well, I think I am getting the hang of it, and that was even more information to try it!  That was great!

When you grow up you'll write some real poetry? If the work you've already done isn't real, I don't want to know what is because I'll never achieve anything. Cute sonnet.

God bless America, my home sweet home.

Grow up?  Did I hear DocMoose threaten to grow up?.. I think NOT... Whatever would we do around here for entertainment???

Methinks the Doc is good at Tweedle-Dums
..For this fine verse he gets uplifted thumbs..
