Music of the Earth The splendid sounds of earth’s sweet melodies Are rhythms of the ocean‘s rolling hymn That pulses life within a porpoise fin And carries shells from deepness of the seas In quietness of woodland's rustling trees Come songs that briskly strum an icy limb And crackle as the twilight slowly dims And through the pines, a whistling, haunting breeze Sweet madrigals at early dawning’s brink On ocean, winter limb and summer grounds Are melodies the spirit strains to hear For just one lyric song from bob-o-link Is but a gift of which the earth abounds But only sung for an aesthetic ear Elizabeth Santos |

Hi Liz, Nicely done. I haven't talked with you in a while but I do try to keep up with at least a small portion of your work. Thanks, Pete |

Not only does Liz make it look easy... It IS easy for her - I've seen her sit down to write early in the morning and in just a few short minutes create a masterpiece... Like this mellifluent verse... ![]() |
