Bubble Bath Into the tub of a bubbly brew Of strawberry beads in a hot calming stew Warming and soothing this smooth oozing broth Topped with a tingling tickling froth Into the spongy white billows I slip To savor the balm of a pillowy dip Soapy and sudsy and slippery soft Luscious and plush is the bubbly loft Wrapped in caresses of fluffy light foam Lathered in spume of a puffy white dome Buoyant and cushiony tingle and tang Light as soufflé with the puff of meringue Now light up a candle and soak to the core And please don’t anyone knock on the door Elizabeth Santos |
