Nan I don't know if this is what you had in mind but in lieu of no outline here is my version of blank verse.

You are the last;
The very last;
A reminder of days gone by
when nobility
reigned
and justice was sought
with wisdom.
O Knight of power
stay awhile
just a while
show us hope
show us chivalry
remind us of our humanity
that was closer to God
because of you.
You are the last;
The very last;
But because you remain
the world is softer
brighter
more in tune
with the true nature
of knighthood.
O knight of wonder
bide with us,
until your time is done
and you must move on
to make
another place
a darker place
awash with
your brilliance.
For you are the last;
The very last.

I think what you wrote is a free verse Kethry, but a great one!

Here are 2 links to learn more about blank verse:

I'm sure Nan will post more information soon.    Will I be able to write without rhyme?

Shadydaze, there you go Munda has answered for me.

Munda, I think you are right, blank verse is more structured. The lack of rhyme thing bothers me too. I guess I have to learn to be more patient and wait for the instructions, but I am a kind of - if all else fails read the instructions - type of person lol.

Great free verse, Keth... Blank verse is indeed unrhymed - That's a problem for me too, but I'll try... I've posted the guidelines now... I love it when you guys start without me...

Kethry ,
I gotta agree with you on the directions part ( they're all written by aliens anyway )
, except Nan's directions ( I think she may be ok ) . I liked this . Wrote two myself but didn't post . Not rhyming for me is definately a problem ( dropped on head call me Fred rhyme until I'm almost dead ). Now I'll have to re-write just to see if I can get one right .
