LOL I remember getting soooooo frustrated with the meter I wrote these last time... It seems I am in one of those ruts And it feels like a kick in the guts I can not find a rhyme It takes all of my time These darn lim'ricks are driving me nuts ! I cried out to Saint Patrick last night I can not get this darn meter right He looked at me a while Said to me with a smile "It was you who requested this blight" Just five lines that will rhyme you request In some meter you call anapest To write lim'ricks takes much Even more when you're Dutch But of course this will NOT get me stressed ! ; ) Let's find out how "stressed" I'll get this time!  |

If I don't sign up soon I'll miss class theres no way I'll let this come to pass I'll not irritate Teach That's no day at the beach ! So it's good I know how to hall pass ! Once a rumor did circulate there 'bout a sponge and some-ones derrier Don't know how it began but things sure hit the fan now my head hangs from wall with blank stare Tried to silence me by making art of my noggin but that's the wrong part Not for me a hat rack like Ah-nold I've come back because poetry comes from the heart Gee ! Sure, I just saw the other post first and thought it was Romy's idea.  But I'll definitely try a few limericks. Maybe even a few about some members of Teen #4 who I know? That might be fun. So yeah, count me in.  If I had your eyes, I'd be blind. For I can only see out of my own. ~~Carly Van Dort |
