Somewhere behind the scenery of false projected mask, incessant as machinery that works at constant speed, as yet remain un-seen by me the questions I must ask. Perhaps lay in antiquity on sands of time to bask, in shroud of anonymity until compelled by need, somewhere behind the scenery of false projected mask. Protected from impurity the contents of this cask, what settled with maturity shall from with-in be freed, as yet remain un-seen by me the questions I must ask. An elixer who's potency shall over-flow the flask, to spill into reality empowered of such deeds, somewhere behind the scenery of false projected mask. Dispensed of all impugnity that hindered such a task, I'll not repeat infinately what circumstance decreed, as yet remain un-seen by me the questions I must ask. Somewhere behind the scenery of false projected mask, incessant as machinery that works at constant speed. Dispensed of all impugnity that hindered such a task, I'll not repeat infinately what circumstance decreed. |

Nell's Villa ? Who's Nell ? And What villa ? Geez Doc, we have our own great homestead… the 'Stute, remember the good ol' 'Stute ?? I've been on a search for ya in Open 9 Doc, but then Ron decided "high time for numero 10" and I really got lost in Passions, while you were studying hard all this time ! Moosness !! That's a pretty darn good thingy ya wrote there !! Anyways Doc, we sorta miss ya ! The 'Stute just ain't the same without ya and since ya can find yer way to the Workshop, I figure ya can (if the moderators allow ya) enter the Pub too, right ? Ok Doc, quit the nonsense and get yar hooves to the Pub... I'll buy ya a beer K? Or better make that a diet Coke....we need ye in good shape for Christmas... Justin N. |

You most certainly have a way with words Doc and you made me run for my dictionary too ! I enjoyed this greatly, but have one small question though... shouldn't the final stanza end with A-B-A1-A2, or is this what they call poetic freedom ? |

Justin N, Your answer lies in the Pub. Debbie, Drink sparingly , you know what the rules are these days . Munda, As stated by the teach , you are correct . Far be it from me to contradict what is graven on the black-board . How-ever, in some obscure writing on this subject , if my memory serves me well , there are certain variations that are allowed on the ending stanza . Oh, and Nan , Could you please tell Kethry that I don't smell funny ? It's probably just some toxic waste from down under . Doc |

Doc, you do too smell funny, but I loves ya. Nan is punishing me by not allowing me to post at the workshop and sending Balladeer to correct my work in open Sheesh!. Why don't they give a girl a break. See ya next workshop and I may even sit next ta ya cutie pie, that's if the toxic waste's not blowing from your direction. *wink wink* Btw I loved the villanelle even if you did (according to my down under definition) get the last bit mixed. You crazy mixed up kid you. Write on Kethry Why do yesterdays remain and todays pass by ...unnoticed? Rex E. Alford |

Give 'em an inch and they take a mile... This piece conforms beautifully to meter (iambic heptameter), Doc... Your theme develops nicely.. and WHO said you could break out of the rhyme scheme and format on the last line??? Was that in the next classroom?? Who's the teacher over there anyway?? A final quatrain that conforms to the format would need a new first and second line that have a and b end rhymes... with the final two lines written as.. quote: You knew that, of course... You silly Moose.. |

Well ! What happened to artistic license ? It seems that there are way too many conformists within this group ! I say to you " Are we men , or are we moose !?" Picky , picky , picky ! Oh well , it's time for my nap .See ya for next class . Doc |
