Standing in the road Screaming for my father to return home. I was such a daddy's lil girl, now I'm all alone. You seam as if you don't care, God why do you have to be so unfair. I want you to watch me grow and mature. I want you to see me become a doctor and find a cure. I want you to be in my life. I want you to stop putting my brothers and me through so much strife. It hurts when you do this, dad. I even thought about picking up the knife. I want you to be with me till my graduation. Don't give me all those lame explanations! God dad, please, live up to your own expectations. Don't be a hypocrite and tell me how to be. I'm following your footsteps can't you see. The drugs, and the alcohol. Me and you are family, we take the same falls. When you take actions, I feel the reaction. Dad, can't you just be with me. And show me all the love that can be. <!signature--> ~¤Always look to the sunrise and you'll never see the shadows¤~Anee Frank [This message has been edited by PoeticDreams (edited 01-30-2000).] |

Sad poem. I'm sorry about your problems with your dad. I hope things improve with time. Don't give up on him. Keep |
