just about where I want to be

There he goes
He takes my heart with him
He leaves me crying silent tears

I sit in a daze
And stare at the phone
He's supposed to call
And apologize for the fight.

My heart says he'll be back
My mind says he's gone forever
My arms ache to hold him
My eyes long to stare into his

I'm sure he'll be back
But little do I know
Walking in the park
I see him, but he's not alone

The girl beside him asks
"who is that?"
And when he answers I know
How much he loved me.
"I have no idea...."

Very weak..I know, but this is the best I could do with a broken heart..and thinking through the tears and pain. If ya'll have any suggestions...any at all, I'd appreciate them. Don't think of them as criticism, just a helping hand. Thanks again--

Wow! Great poem. I definitely know how it feels to lose someone you love. Especially to someone else. Hang in there. You'll get through it, trust me.

Very strong poem. I'd hate for that to happen to me. My situation was different, but I think it hurt just as much. Read my poem, "A Promise Broken," and you'll know how I feel.

i really liked your poem i know exactly how it feels especially when the "new" girl is your best friend...i had that happen to me and it was so hard...but i got through it and so will you...s3nsation18
