I sit alone and wonder why The beautiful night sky It's cold as hell, but I don't mind I miss you The moon is high, the stars are bright I sit and stare, beautiful twilight I wait for the break of morning light Where are you? Down the hill, on the beach Stars, like you, are out of reach Only lessons life can teach I wish for you I cry alone, among the sand I reached out to touch your hand Only water, only land I lost you Tides come in and roll away I silently cry, silently pray Not waiting for the break of day I come and find you |
