“make sure the magic’s still there”

a lot of times I’m here
a lot of times I’m there
strange how I falter
when the real me, I must bare
a lot of times you’re here
but sometimes you’re there
can I keep you here
without giving you such a big scare
a lot of times we’re here
but so many times we’re there
close to perfection
but still have some things floating in the air.
Can I be here
Can I be there
I wish I could stay
And be your lady fair
Can you be here?
Can you be there?
I want you to stay
Please don’t be scared
Can we be here
Can we be there
I don’t want us to be just a fling
There’s much more than that we can share
But can I be here
Can you be there
That’s something we’ll have to think about
And make sure the magic’s still there….
