I hate my life With such a passion Every time I'm happy Down my world comes crashing With all of this Dissapointment and sorrow I never can wait 'Til it's finally tomorrow Hoping, praying Tomorrow will bring joy But I know to so many others My mind is just a toy As is my heart Broken, Torn And so I sit here Always forlorn Waiting, hoping For the day When I can smile And I can say I'm truly happy With my life And I can put down That sharp knife I've held in my hands So many times Almost committing The ultimate crime But never hating life Enough to take it away Enough to block out The occasional sunny day So I continue on To merely exist, to be Until life brings me happiness I'll just be me. |
