I look at you and your beauty leaves me breathless,
I pray to God to make our friendship deathless.

then it occurs to me that what we have is more than friendship,
when i see myself in dreams kissing your lips.

you are beautiful, intelligent, and kind,
when i'm with you i lose track of the time,
your touch overloads my mind,
another like you i'll probably never find,

But when i'm with you, i don't know what to say,
and my shyness i regret all day,
you seem perfect for me in every single way.

i've never felt the way i do with you,
and i wonder if you feel the same way too.
although fear of rejection makes this hard to do,
i've written this poem to say that "i love you."
