My mind is a New York City art gallery Sophisticated-yet unbelievably quiet Filled with abstracts of the world Visioned through my eyes With photos of simple rural life Untouched and peaceful The beauty of what i see Somehow tends to stick in my forgetful mind But in the back-where no one goes Except for me.. Hangs a tattered portrait- Single and solitary Covered with thickend dust and fossilized cobwebs And somedays I quietly walk into the back room of my gallery The place thats my little secret- Unknown by all.. And hanging there beyond the hazy dust, A portrait of a face... A face so familiar... But yet, tried so hard to be forgotten |

I like this poem, it's different from all the others, it's not about a broken heart, a lonely cry, to me it's about different things, almost every person that reads this will probly get something differnt out of your poem, I Like it alot!
