i don't know about those of you who will read this, but i sometimes find myself lying to myself so i can feel like a better person- i think if i know when i do it, i can quit and learn to accept myself how i am- even if i don't think perfect thoughts--

Undecided thoughts
Impaled in the back of my mind
Trying to be forgotten
But constantly creeping up on me
In times of consideration
I put them there
Because knowing and understanding their answers
May push me into myself
And I may discover thoughts
I don't want to find.
So I will continue
To fight against myself
And wage my own war
To replace the truth
With selfish lies that I create and believe
That in the end will lead
To my own broken heart.
