A friend of mine (Mandie in the poem) insisted I write about shoes...and this is what I came up with... There once was a silly girl I knew, Who had quite an obsession with shoes! Tennis, sparkled, chunk heels alike, Even shoes that said "Gooo Vikes!" Red, yellow, shades of purple too, My lord, her closet was such a zoo! On no occasion will her feet be bare, Because, oh my gosh, she has 56 pairs! Once I asked her, "Mandie, why?", And she responded with a sigh. "Well, Krista, the answer is plain, Shoes are what keep this girl sane!" The years went by and the shoes increased, Jeez, will the pile of shoes ever cease? By the very ripe old age of twenty four, Her shoes reached from ceiling to floor! The saddest part, I regret to say, Is that Mandie went missing on that day. She was kidnapped, some people believe, But I think she drowned in a shoe filled sea! ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "If my heart had wings, I would fly to you and lie beside you as you dream....." ~Faith Hill: If My Heart Had Wings~ |

This is too funny of a poem to be sunk down here with a big Zero! Just not right I say! In contrast to your guitar question, what's with most females and shoes? ( ) ------------------ "'Cause there's a hunger, a longing to escape, from the life I live when I'm awake" - Creed - "Higher" |
