I am sending you a rose today,
A great message it does bring.
It tells of all the words I wish to say,
And how my heart does sing.

It tells stories of great happiness,
And memories from the past.
It even brings some stories of sadness,
But those sad times did not last.

With this rose I am telling you,
That to me you are so dear.
I hope this shows how much I love you,
And that I will always hold you near.

By the time this rose gets to you,
It may be very dry.
It may be wilted, it may fade,
But unlike this rose, my love for you will never die.

Hey, I got to be the very first person to comment on this poem. What an honor...the symbolic value really is impressive. The idea and feeling were nice too. keep em' comin'!!

Oh, wow that is a beautiful poem.Very nice. I look forward to reading more of you poems, now that I've got some time to read and post here again YAY!!! Anyway, very nice poem
