Well Maybe (But You Left us Far Behind)

Now maybe, I didn’t mean to treat him so bad
It was wrong…but I did it anyway,
I see you far a line, you couldn’t share the pain and watch you suffer?
Until someday when people look at you, shame for what you did in your life,
You should of told me, yeah but he did it anyway

So maybe, he didn’t mean treat you so bad
It was wrong…but he did it anyway.
Until one day, when he lost control
Shame for what he did, you should of told me
Yeah but it happened anyway

Maybe someday we’ll take the time, to brush away the vines so you can reach us
I hear you coming home, you left with what you had,
Calmness on beaches hold, shame of what he did to you in this life,
You should of told us, yeah but you didn’t anyway.

Shame you left us so soon, life was ours, we lived our way,
Maybe your friends will gather round and watch you crumble
Well maybe they watch you flying, oh you were flying so high.

Then someday he looks at you, ashame for what he did do you in his life,
Until that day, you went insane, consumed by the flames of this pain.
Maybe someday we’ll meet again, to share the shames of what we did in this life,
Then baby, we’ll brush away the past so you can reach us,
Yeah, but you left us far behind
