We spoke for a minute, two friends in the dark As you moved across country, we both felt the spark Months later I was sitting in chat, When up popped a name, you had come back Did I feel the same We spent all our time, together in chat For hours and hours together we sat Then one day and out of the blue I never heard anything from you Everyday I would sit and wait But that had to be just our fate I look at your profile and what do I see A lovely picture of you and me All of a sudden no more chat But your profile does'nt say that Well Matt I guess there is no you and me While it lasted it was our fantasy |

Sometimes you merely trip and stub your toe. Sometimes you fall to your hands and knees. But sometimes you smack your head against the pavement and die." |

Internet relationships are strange things....how hurt we can get by someone whom we have never seen. How close we can get to someone we may never meet. It's a relationship of the souls...maybe some people can't handle that. Who knows? Well, I think your poetry has described it clearly. Love and hugs, Lizzie "Poetry is the true expression of my soul, it is my ultimate means of communication. It is my rainbow of delight." |

Interesting story of internet disappointment. It's an anonymous world, and sometimes scary. Enjoyed reading your poem. dh A life isn't significant except for its impact on other lives. |
