I can’t seem to settle, What does that mean ? That I should be somewhere else living my dream ? Of when this is over My conscience clear, The aching subsided Eroded, the fear that perhaps I will fail. But what does that mean to have given your best To be judged on the facts, But the way things appear ? Obscuring the vision, distorting the clear, View of what true success is, And exists within here. I say this with hand on upon heart you see, Because now more important is the light within me. Once it was faded now shining bright I will not be defined by what others deem right - the end is insight. |
