The Test: Please answer honestly.

Have you ever dove underwater,
And stayed down for ages,
Simply because you'd forgotten of your need to breathe…?
…It is impossible to defy your nature…

Have you ever danced in the rain for hours,
Because nothing ever felt so good,
Or so right in your life before?
…And every drop that hit you washed away some of your soul's blackness…

Have you ever walked down a staircase,
And never remembered taking a step?
…You are drifting between points A and B…

Have you ever swam in the sky?
Have you ever felt the darkness lifting you up?
Have you ever dodged a star as it floated by?

Have you ever lied, just for the hell of it?
Have you ever screamed, because it was just too quiet?

Have you ever recognized someone,
Someone you had never laid eyes on before?
…Am I delusional?…Are you blind?…

Have you ever wept because people are just too idiotic,
Too ignorant?
…Psychoanalysis; sociopathic.

Have you ever been absurd?
Have you ever been outrageous?
Have you ever been mean?
Have you ever been rude?
Have you ever felt alive?

Have you ever been truly happy?

OK my answer to all the above questions is YES!
I especially like
:
Have you ever danced in the rain for hours,
Because nothing ever felt so good,
Or so right in your life before?
…And every drop that hit you washed away some of your soul's blackness…
:
cause I do that all the time!!
Good poem

Yes yes yes, i can relate to this.  Sometimes i would not like to admit, but i have been mean, have screamed b/c it was too quiet, have danced in the rain b/c nothing feels as good as being free like that.  This was great, i really enjoyed it.  rachel

i never thought i'd die alone, i laughed the loudest who'd have known?
i traced the cord back to the wall, no wonder it was never plugged in at all
i took my time, i hurried up
the choice was mine i didn't think enough
I'm too depressed to go on, you'll be sorry when i'm gone
I never conquered, rarely came
16 just held such better days
Days when i still felt alive, we couldn't wait to get outside
The world was wide, too late to try
The tour was over i'd survived
I couldn't wait till i got home, to pass the time in my room alone
I never thought i'd die alone, another six months I'll be unknown
Give all my things to my friends, you'll never set foot in my room again
You'll close it off, board it up
Remember the time i spilled the cup
Of apple juice in the hall, please tell mum this is not her fault
I never conquered, rarely came
But tomorrow holds such better days
Days when i can still feel alive, when i can't wait to get outside
The world was wide, the time goes by
The tour is over, i've survived
I can't wait till i get home, to pass the time in my room alone

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Sami and Rachel- Hey, glad you liked it. And I'm glad someone else can answer 'yes' to most of these.

Bec- LOL. Thank you much. I'm glad to know I'm not the only one with walls covered in scribbled poetry. Every time my dad comes into my room he opens the windows, because he's afraid between the Marks-A-Lot and the insense I'm going to pass out.
