Anger and Betrayal

I am mad,
I've got reason to be,
Someone I trusted,
chose to betray me.

I'm not sure why they did,
maybe to have some fun,
but now the betrayal,
can never be undone.

I'll never look them in the eye,
or laugh with them again,
I'll just keep the memories,
of where, why, and when.

The hurt was too much,
the stab wound too deep,
we never will be close again,
hurtful memories I'll keep.

I might forget the things we've done,
and all the fun we've had,
but I'll never forget what you've done to me,
because it hurts so bad.

Nikki, first of all: Welcome to Passions! I found this poem flowed very well. If you write from experience, I think that although you are hurting from being betrayed, you must try to forgive and move on. Don't forget the good times, surely they are more pleasant and memorable than the bad? If you don't forgive you can't heal. Forgive not only for the other person but for yourself too. great job!
your poem was quite interesting, and yes, the flow was really smoothe.
do forgive, even if you can't forget.
betrayal, the worst pain of all. a wound to the heart.

Wow what a good poem. I saddly can relate to all of the anger and feelings you descirbed in this poem. Good job.
